BARBERING
Course Outline
The course is designed to provide comprehensive training in all aspects of cosmetology. This includes essential techniques and services such as haircutting, styling, perming, coloring, facial treatments, waxing, manicure and nail techniques. Our curriculum covers all the major services performed by a professional licensed cosmetologist, ensuring that students are well-prepared for a successful career in the field. This is a 1,000-hour program, where students earn one clock hour for every hour spent in class.
Format
Classroom theory is conducted daily to provide students with the fundamental knowledge they need to progress through the practical, hands on training received on the clinic floor. Instructional methods that maybe used include; transparencies, handouts, diagrams, videos and slides
Goal
The Barber program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to pass the Massachusetts State Board of Barbering. With this training, students will be able to perform all essential clinical skills needed to thrive in today’s barber shop environment.
